Hypnotherapy – In-Person or Online –

Albert Einstein said that “Problems cannot be solved at the same level of awareness that created them”. This is one of the basic principles in the use of hypnotherapy and how it is so effective for many people. That is because hypnotherapy helps you to use your own natural ability to access your subconscious mind to safely bring about the changes you require in your conscious mind i.e. your everyday life. hypnotherapyWhen you are helped to access the states of relaxation and calm that through hypnosis that can be life changing for you. Most people go one step further and use these states to bring about positive, effective change in their lives for specific issues.

If you are wondering about what Hypnosis is and what it is not, then you might like to watch this short video.

If you don’t manage to watch the video, then it is important to know that hypnosis is an everyday state that you have experienced many times in the past, rather than a radically altered state of consciousness that you might have seen in the media. A possible description of hypnosis is that you are in a state of focused relaxation when you experience it, and most people’s experience of that is that it is something they are inclined to enjoy.

It is also worth noting that hypnosis is a reasonably conscious experience for many people, as there is always part of the mind that is still reasonably alert and observing proceedings, even if it is in a much more relaxed manner than normal. We all experience something called the the hypnagogic state, where you are half-awake and half-asleep as you are starting to fall asleep at night. In that state you may be aware of noises inside or outside of the room, however it is unlikely that they will disturb you unless they are particularly intrusive, and it is exactly the same in hypnosis i.e. you are aware of external noises (if they are any) however they do not bother you.

Hypnosis itself is a very pleasant state to experience; it is relaxing for most people, and there is nothing to do and no one to worry about. Inevitably, the mind will drift in and out during hypnosis, in the sense that at certain times, you are likely to be less aware of your external environment than others, and more focussed on your inner landscape.

Hypnotherapy sessions can be booked with me as a package of 3 sessions or as a single session. These can take place in person or online (all sessions include email support)
